Saturday, Troll Station
We woke up to the traditional weather at Troll – sunshine! The day began with a planning session, where we each listed the tasks we need to accomplish at Troll in order to prepare for our traverse.
We discussed the timing and logistics of the tasks, and planned coordination of our activities. After that, the day hummed by, with activities including mounting antennas and fuel tanks on the UAV, setting up radar equipment, mounting the science hut on the sled, updating the web site, and using remote sensing data to examine details of the traverse route. We celebrated the day by taking a “family portrait” of our team.
