Today we covered an additional 60 km by 8pm, and arrived at a fuel depot of 49 barrels at Site L. After an excellent rice and pork dinner, we are back on the road by 10pm.

Today we covered an additional 60 km by 8pm, and arrived at a fuel depot at Site L. Last season, a group of four ventured out from Troll Station to leave fuel for us along the route. We hope to reach the major depot (Depot 700) in the next day or two. This evening, we stopped for dinner at a cache of 49 barrels at Site L. We spent about 3 hours here; loading fuel, making and cleaning up after dinner, and were on the trail again by 10 pm. Most people who aren't on driving duty have gone to bed, leaving Tom and Atsu to guard the kitchen on a Saturday night as we cruise across the ice sheet.
