Soon done at Camp Winter
Today real progress was made as Svein, Rune, and Kjetil brought in the last of the four vehicles, Jack, to be modified.
Temperature -30 deg C, wind 18 kts
They had a good day of work, and are really happy with their progress. They are even staying in after dinner tonight. The last few days they’ve been working until midnight, so this is a major event. Tomorrow should be the last day of work on the vehicles if all goes according to plan. We are looking forward to getting “on the road” soon and joining the rest of the team at the South Pole. The wind calmed down a bit today after we had winds of 25 kts yesterday, and a lot of blowing snow, leaving drifts everywhere. Tom and I were able to finish all the science tasks we had, and started packing away all the science equipment onto the science tent sled. Glen and Einar started strapping everything that is loose onto sleds, all in preparation of leaving Camp Winter.
